Juliane Caughron

Quantitative ecologist interested in fisheries monitoring programs, effects of spatial scale on ecological relationships, patterns of diversity, and species movement and habitat use.

Juliane is interested in using quantitative methods to study patterns of diversity, movement, and spatial dependence particularly in marine systems. She also has a particular interest in more effectively utilizing large data sets from long term monitoring programs. She completed her undergraduate degree at Coastal Carolina University in Marine Science and her master’s degree at Grice Marine Lab at College of Charleston, SC working with Dr. Dan McGlinn exploring spatial patterns of biodiversity-ecosystem function relationships using a long term fisheries-independent monitoring data set.
